The challenge is.....more challenging than I thought lol. I had high hopes of having a great, fast start. Needless to say, that has not happened.
I was planning on starting strong with 4 miles on Saturday but Andrea stayed the night Friday night and we stayed up way too late. Instead of running Saturday morning we spent too long laying in bed discussing dress decisions, then too much time making breakfast (french toast, eggs, and hashbrowns...sooo healthy) and watching American Idol. I was resolved to run in the afternoon. Then my mom got there and the wedding crafting insanity began and did not end until late into the night. We DID make time to do the 6 week 6 pack though!! Josh, myself, Andrea, and Josh's fearless brother Justin all did it together. The mistake was doing it right after my Mom made cookies that we had all had at least 2 of! It was really rough. We all felt like we were going to throw up but we all made it through!!!
On Sunday we had church in Fresno (earrrrrrrrrrly, I had to get up at 7:15....after we'd gone to bed at 1am!!!), premarital class and registering. After this we were EXHAUSTED but I knew I absolutely had to run. So I unhappily put on my running shoes. Josh's dad came along on his bike and biked along with me! I'm glad he did because it was getting dark before I was done and it would have been a little scary by myself! I ran about 2.4 miles but because of my stupid rule it only counted as 2 towards the challenge! Sunday night Andrea came over and we did the 6 week 6 pack again. Due to my level of exhaustion it was just as difficult as the day before.
Monday I got up and went running first thing while I was rested! I again did about 2.4 miles so that brought me up to 4 miles total to be counted toward the challenge. We spent the rest of the day with Josh's mom going through things from his Great Grandma's house. We got about 5 big boxes of books to add to our growing library and a globe and some fantastic old hats that hopefully Aniston and Madison will someday use to play dress up ;) We were too tired when we got home to work out so we just went to bed.
This morning I actually got up early to run for the first time in forever!!!!!!!! I've been running at night because I haven't been able to drag myself out of bed but I did it today! Yay for small victories! And I ran a little over 3 so 3 miles for the challenge! Yay, no more 2 mile stretches for me!!! I also walked with Andrea at lunch and Josh and I will be doing the 6 week 6 pack tonight.
So as of today...
2/22/11- 7 miles done. 193 to go! (I can't wait to get under 190...it feels like I've done nothing!)
I have totally not been eating very well over the past few days but I've done really well today (except I had frozen yogurt for lunch...it's better than ice cream, right???) considering that it's been a really stressful day.
I'm still feeling VERY motivated!!
On a side note, I CANNOT wait until you get home!!! I know you have tons of homework but we have to do lunch one day and maybe a dinner with some of the other girls???
