Well I'm definitely relating to our domain name today...I'm SO glad that "tomorrow is fresh" because yesterday was BAD!!!
First of all, it was raining. Since it was raining Andrea and I couldn't walk at lunch which is 200 calories that weren't burned! Boo! Then Andrea brought me lunch. That was pretty well balanced. I had a turkey sandwich, some cauliflower (Andrea has an amazing recipe that makes it taste delicious), some popcorn and some slices of apple. We also had lattes. So they were all healthy choices but too many calories total for me to be comfortable with!! When we got to Josh's dad's house we did our workout and it was really good!! Now I'm going to do the unthinkable and document what I ate last night because I have to keep myself accountable for my bad decisions!!
-Fried chicken....I only had a small piece and it was homemade so I thought I did pretty good with that.
-4 strawberries...This would have been great if they did not come with this amazing cream cheese dip, it was so delicious!!
-A few tortilla dips with the pizza dip I made...ummmm AMAZING! The dip was sooooooo good. It had cream cheese and cheese in it though so none for you!
-Some macaroni salad...a VERY small portion, yay!
-Some pasta salad...it was amazing, there were sun dried tomatoes!!
This is where it gets sad.
-2 peanut butter hearts...I could.not.say.No!
-1 homemade peanut butter cup...Josh's aunt has the recipe and it is to KILL for!
-A piece of this amazing chocolate cake with Heath bar on top....it was so worth it.
I did say no to bread rolls! Yay!! I also drank LOTS of water through the course of the evening. Overall I was so full at the end of the night I felt like my yoga pants that I was wearing because we had worked out were too tight...sad.
BUT today is going really well. I have not had any chocolate or cheated at all. Andrea and I walked 3 miles on my lunch and we actually inspired Josh's brother and he came with us haha.
Now for my actual inspiring part of the post....these are some of the mental benefits of exercise!!!
1. Improved self-esteem and greater sense of self-reliance and self-confidence....who doesn't want that????
2. Improved mental alertness, perception and mental processing....perfect for you and all of your tests!
3. Increased perceptions of acceptance by others....I think this is a HUGE benefit! Especially for insecure people like me who always second guess themselves.
4. Decreased overall feelings of stress and tension....WIN!
5. Reduced frustration with daily problems, and a more constructive response to disappointments and failures.....this is very appealing to me. I have become so stressed out and intense and I can totally tell the difference when I'm exercising. When I've just been lazy, eaten bad and feel blah I'm much more likely to have an emotional breakdown over the coordinating colors of our table linens or the number of people who will RSVP.
We are doing soooooooooooooo well this week!! Tomorrow will be Friday!! We're almost done with week one!!!
So, yesterday when I was in the dressing rooms while shopping...with those huge mirrors and awful lighting, I already noticed that my entire body is more tone!!!! Jillian Michaels is my hero lol. It definitely is easier to be self-confident when you feel so great!!
ReplyDeleteYou did amazing at the party!! I would have been so out of control! You barely at anything it seems like!!! lol
